What are the characteristics of terry cloth fabric?

1. The moisture absorption capacity is very good, but the shrinkage rate is large, about 4~10%.
2. Terry cloth is resistant to alkali but not acid. Even very dilute sulfuric acid will damage it, but terry cloth is more resistant to alkali. Generally, dilute alkali has no effect on cotton cloth at room temperature, but under the action of strong alkali, the strength of cotton cloth will decrease. 20% caustic soda solution is often used to treat cotton cloth to obtain mercerized cotton cloth.
3. Light resistance and heat resistance are average. Cotton fabric will be slowly oxidized in sunlight and atmosphere, causing its strength to decrease. Cotton fabric will be damaged by long-term high temperature, but it can withstand short-term high temperature treatment of 125~150℃.
4. Microorganisms have a destructive effect on cotton fabrics, which is manifested in their intolerance to mold.
5. Terry cloth is a natural fiber. After many tests and practices, the fabric has no irritation or negative effects when it comes into contact with the skin. It is beneficial to the human body when worn for a long time and has good hygienic performance.
